This book was so much fun to read! I loved the girls, their differences, and their growing friendships and the story just kept me so engaged that even when I noticed flaws (and there were some!) I didn't mind them so much and just kept reading. The only major complaint I had was that the language was too modern at times for a book that takes place in the late 1800s. For example, at one point one of the characters is thinking about how hot she looks and that kind of thing just really threw me out of the novel. The best part, other than the girl power, was the love stories. One girl had one that was cute (though a bit rushed), one didn't have one at all, and the other started out with one and then realized that she was better off without him! So refreshing to not have a character end up with a guy even if he is really wrong for her and a creep.
