Wintergirls - Laurie Halse Anderson This was a very difficult book to read because of the subject matter and how deep into the mindset of an eating disorder, self cutting, depression, and the guilt of having someone die Anderson goes, but it was a good book, and powerful. I've said this before, but Anderson has a way with words, it's almost lyrical. I noticed a comment about being annoyed by all the cross outs in the books, but I liked it because it shows her attempting to "edit" her thoughts. What she really thinks, what her eating disorder thinks, and what she feels she should be thinking.
